Monitoring Office 365 group contents

Apologies if this has been covered before. One school I support allow children to create their own groups for the purposes of collaborating on homework.

 

Are there any automated methods for monitoring their content? For example, I saw some kids this morning uploading some memes and sending them to each other.

 

We have previously made a profanity list of words they can't use in the group names.

We had to disable ours after abuse

We use other platforms for kids - Frog OS. That has at least some form of filter/monitoring in place.

I say "kids", it's a Middle School, so from the ages of 9 to 13.
