[sims] Importing Assessment templates?

Hi

 

We are one of two schools which are in a ‘soft’ federation. We have remote access to our partner school’s SIMS Assessment application and network via Team Viewer.

 

I would like to import a SIMS Assessment template from our partner school’s SIMS application. I’ve already saved it in .xml format on our partner school’s network, but unfortunately when I try to import the file into our own SIMS, the error message 'File cannot be imported as import type is invalid' appears.

 

I'm obviously doing something wrong somewhere along the line. Would anyone be able to enlighten me accordingly, and/or show me where I can find a basic guide for importing templates/aspects/individual reports, etc. ?

Be very careful doing this. I've known it substitute results from one aspect to the other due to a clash of internal IDs for the aspects. Capita may have fixed this issue but make sure you have a backup, and check every template old and new to ensure they have the right aspects in them.
