Hi,

We have the C: drive restricted but when saving in Word (and other programs I'm assuming) students can see the C:\users\%username% folder and some are saving here instead of their network drive.#

How can I restrict them from saving here without affecting anything else?

Thanks.

I've got this set to show only home drive and relevant shares in Office:

User Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Microsoft Office 2010 > File Open > Save dialog box > Places Bar Locations

Please be aware that there is always some software that won't give a flying fart what GPO says or does and will still show those folders. Some software (cubase) will even let you write to the bloody areas if they are read only or have NTFS permissions denied!
