johnwheatley Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) Apologies this is in the wrong section. I am reaching out here. The support from Avantis is at the best of times, thin. I have an issue with BBC educational webpages which use either iPlayer or BBC media player. Both are installed on the Learnpads using launcher3. When I try to play a clip - lets say, Attenborough on Basalt lava as an example, I get the same message that I get for most of the clips - This content is currently not available on this device. Please try again later. Avantis support offered a solution, on a call back - they never called back. An Avantis technician was due out today to visit the school and iron out various problems that we are experiencing with the Learnpads, needless to say, they never turned up! So, I am hoping that someone can be assist with this issue. (Learnpads are an Android tablet) thanks John Edited November 16, 2016 by johnwheatley
Meldrew Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Are you access the webpages through a link? If so you may be missing whitelisted URLs? Otherwise if you are just using the browser that can access any webpages, is it a flash issue or has the BBC moved away from flash now? Admittedly, we have users on desktop windows 7 PCs that report this kind of thing intermittently (for BBC news in our case, but as its purely for personal lunchtime use, we haven't exactly prioritised looking into the issue). johnwheatley Posted November 16, 2016 Author Posted November 16, 2016 Hi I am accessing through a web link. It could be a flash issue, but I have tagged the resource for flash. It should be using iplayer or media player but it doesn't want to know. J
