Been sent a link to a file on word-view.officeapps.live.com, which appears to enable "non Office" peeps to view Office documents. I may be missing something obvious, but is there a way to download the original Word document - or is it view only?

The end of the view link should literally be the place the file sits unless they changed it.

e.g. If the original document was www.myschool.{breaking link} co.uk/word.docx

It'd show up as http://view.officeapps.live.{breaking link} com/op/view.aspx?src=www.myschool.{breaking link} co.uk/word.docx

Cheers, but no src= part, or anything that looks like a link - just a few lines of (excerpt) 2De55a%2D4e79%2D8919%2De8923f017559%26m%.

[Steve21]

What sort of link is it you have then (or is it confidential etc)

Not like this one - https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/view.aspx?src=www.bristol.ac.uk%2Fpoverty%2Fdownloads%2Fhealthinequalities%2FJHS01_v3.doc As that just gives download options etc.

Unfortunately not like that! Just in case it's supposed to be proprietary I've just screen-shotted an excerpt:

There's a choice between Image View (above) and Text view (throws a "too much information" error on most pages.

The only options are:

Going to ask the head where he got the link...

Managed to get this sorted now.

Head had the link from a tweet, which he eventually found and when I viewed it I could web search under the document's name and found a blog link to One Drive which worked as your link.

Thanks for the help.
