Quiet HPE switch

I'm looking for a quiet 24 port PoE+ switch, HPE to be precise. Ideally it should me a managed L2 switch.

 

The 2920-24G I have here is far too loud - sounds like a hairdryer.

 

The spot this switch needs to be installed is in the front reception at one of my schools, and can't be buzzing away like a swarm of bees.

 

Can anyone recommend me one?

Not able to put a cabinet in this room. Just a single wall mounted switch (to replace the awful 10/100 hub that's there now).

We have some 2530-24G-POE+ switches. They're not silent, but I wouldn't say they were too loud either.

Same as Chris's suggestion. go for something in the HPE/Aruba 2530 Switch Series.

The only true silent one in the range is the 8 port version of the 2530 Switch Series.

However I have both 2920s and 2530s and the 2530 has a barbule hum no where near as noisy as a 2920.

It looks like the PoE+ requirement is going to be catching me out here. Might have to look at one without PoE+ and put power adapters on the phones instead.

Have you looked at the 1920?

I settled on the 1820-24G-PoE+. It's entirely fanless. Its not quite what I wanted but it's the best option as they went quiet.
