localzuk Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 I have a weird one here. One of our staff is having an issue with Outlook whereby all of her emails show fine in the inbox - with the sender's name listed just fine. However, when she clicks on any of them the from field in the email itself is empty, and if she tries to reply, the to field is then empty. It isn't restricted to one sender, its every email - even emails that were fine last week. Anyone seen this and have a quick fix?

localzuk Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 Apparently Microsoft have issues with the office 365 and are rebuilding it... have a look on the admin centre for updates Ah. I don't have access to that - our email is provided by the LEA.
JRowley Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 It's the same as this issue found on Wednesday. It's taking quite a long time to resolve.
RichCowell Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Thanks @psycho98 - Had a call from the Business Manager here about this this morning - I was stumped! So this has saved me faffing around looking for the cause/solution...
JRowley Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 EX85220 - E-Mail and calendar access - Restoring service Restoring service - 14 Nov 2016 19:34 Title: Can't see sender's name in the Outlook client User Impact: Users may be unable to see the sender's name when viewing messages in Outlook (desktop). More info: While we're focused on remediation, Outlook on the web may be used to view the affected messages as the problem is specific to how the Outlook desktop client displays the message. This issue may occur to small subsets of new incoming messages intermittently until the fix has been completely deployed. Please note that this is an incremental update to provide the latest status on the issue. For complete details on this event, please reference the Restoring service post from 7:57 PM UTC on November 11, 2016. Current status: The deployment of the fix is approximately 87 percent complete. Although the saturation of the fix is expected to reach over 95 percent within the next few days, the fix will be tracked to 100 percent deployment, which we're expecting to reach by the middle of next week. Once the deployment is complete, messages will no longer enter this state and the system will automatically fix any previously affected messages. Next update by: Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at 8:00 PM UTC Looks like it wont be fully resolved until next week.
