SEN (or maybe KS2) good-for-touchscreen software?

Possibly better suited for the Education Software subforum, but since it isn't about a specific program I thought maybe it was better for just general chit-chat.

 

Basically we have a rather large touch-screen (it's a CTouch screen that can either be upright or flat like a table) for the SEN dept with a tiny lil' NUC (Intel DC3217IYE) attached. It was bought some considerably time ago as a bit of a beta test and it's a little under-used. I'm fully of the belief that it's under-used simply because up until now, it's just been a bog-standard pupil machine, just bigger and pokey. I'd like that to change, and our SENCO is on board with the idea.

 

I've asked her to go away and have a think about what kinds of things she'd like to us it for, but I figure some of you lot might have similar setups or have some software you might be able to recommend.

I had a similar situation with our Smart Tables (a purchase made by the head after a BETT trip that had been almost completely unused since) I upgraded one to Windows 10 and downloaded some touch screen apps from the Windows store, the one that I upgraded gets used all of the time now and the other 2 sit there in the corridor gathering dust. I will eventually find the time to do the same to the others.

 

Look on the Windows Store, there is a vast array of apps and games that are great for SEN just get the SENCO to have a look see.

This machine is running 7 Ent x64 because our W10 deployment failed miserably I got the OS pushed out and then something (my suspicion is an update) broke the Start Menu, so we had to roll back. I'm not adverse to the idea of putting 8.1 on it though, we know that works, I just haven't made a task sequence for it in WDS. Plus, when you consider all of our other machines are Windows 7 (with the exception of Technology's set of tablets), I figure it's useful to have a UI the kids are already familiar with, since it's SEN. I don't want to treat them like morons, but I don't want to add any potential complications where there needn't be.
