One of my school has bought 16 iPad Air 2s to supplement its iPad 2s and iPad Airs. They are all initially supervised using Apple Configurator 2 on an iMac and then using Cisco Meraki.

I was please to see that the new iPad Air 2s had the full iWorks, iMovie and GarageBand installed. Until I supervised the first one and it wiped the iPad.

Does anyone know how I get all the apps back?

Did a very similar thing with our iPads.

Required an email to Apple (including proof of purchase) to have the free app bundle licenses added to our VPP account.

Then had to install all the apps to 120 iPads through our MDM.

Took our poor network over two weeks to get them all done and that's with a caching server on the wi-fi (the apps especially Garage Band and iMovie are massive).

Pages (356mb),

Keynote (556mb)

Numbers (335mb)

Garageband (1.1gb)

iMovie (697 MB)

Kol,

Many thanks. The local authority supplied them so I'll have to see if they can get an invoice from the supplier.

Does the invoice need to list all the serial numbers?

My experience of the form is you complete it with all of the info then you get an email with all the info attached from someone at Apple asking you all the same questions again. It's very frustrating.

Yes, I fairly certain they need serial numbers... Attached below was their reply:

We were directed to the web form as well (after we emailed) and went through the process, I seem to remember uploading the required documents there.

When I did this I just needed the invoices/proof of purchase to show the number of devices, model name or number, purchase price and purchase date. They were pretty quick with issuing the licenses.
