So, now that the FTB Infinity Server is closed, what would people like for the next server?

Once there's been some ideas posted, I'll put up a poll to vote on.

There are a couple directions I think we could go.

1. Find a light pack to allow those with not so beefy hardware or prefer vanilla to play.

2. Find an updated pack on 1.10

In the past I played a bit with byte size, gives a taste to modded minecraft, but not too overwhelming.

I've done some looking and think there are 5 stable packs and 2 unstable on 1.10,

A pack that fits both Light weight and 1.10 is Lightly Salted on the AT Launcher. I've not had a go at it yet but may download it today.

I know there are some that want vanilla, that's why I'm looking at a light pack as a compromise. I tried 1.10 vanilla and quickly missed NEI WAILA and an map.

I'm all for either a group effort or individual friendly bases. I don't want to do a PVP.

EDIT: Just went to install Lightly salted and it said RC and warned me about being in alpha.

I'm thinking FTB HermitPack, All The Mods Lite or Craft Factory, all on the Curse launcher. All 1.10.2 packs, and they're all pretty stable and a lot smaller than packs like Infinity Evolved (around 80-90 mods each). Of all 3, I think Hermitcraft would likely be most stable, as it is an official FTB pack.

I prefer modded Minecraft than vanilla. Also any chance of a spawn house with some usefull machines and a starting storage pollution that's not just chests? I don't like going back to basics.

+1 for Hermitcraft. I've had a liitle play with it and seem good. Only thing missing on it is WALIA but I think its client side anyway so can be installed additionally.

I'm up for a group build with a theme. :)

Oooh! Is this the part where I take up Minecraft again, still have no idea what's going on two months in, and end up unintentionally vanishing again? :D

I'll have a look at this idea. I won't be going too far with it - it'll be early tier stuff and some very simple storage if I do.

Yes. Absolutely! :D

My unpopular opinion still has not changed :(

Mate managed to find one world we created but wasn't our big one which we spent months on. One day!

Creative still isn't particularly popular I'm afraid.

So long as it can be played as vanilla, ie. no special tools needed just to mine dirt etc. then I'll be happy!

Yeah, I think it can be - the start I made in a test world was the usual Minecraft vanilla mechanics - get wood, make bench, make tools, get stone, make better tools etc...

Good, I only lasted 10 minutes on the one that didn't let you do anything with standard tools!

I think I can handle that :)

It's pretty much a lite kitchen sink pack. So, everything is optional really. Gives you more building choices though with things like Chisel.
