[sims] Marksheet for whole year (secondary stage)

I have templates for each subject with marksheets for each class and I'm looking to create a marksheet for the Head of Dept that encompasses all the pupils within a given year group.

 

On my History (or whichever) template I can create a Marksheet with the group 'Curriculum Year 9' but there is no Supervisor assigned to it. I'm not clear on how to assign a Supervisor to it, but it's complicated by the fact that I only want the History HoD to be able to access the 'Curriculum Year 9' marksheet for their subject, rather than all Year 9 marksheets.

 

I have called SIMS but their suggestions (adding Supervisors to the Pastoral Structure, and adding Supervisors through the Course Manager) don't appear to have had any effect.

You need to create a marksheet for the course (e.g. History (KStg3)) then make sure the head of department is defined in that course in course manager. Additionally you need to add a filter and course link to your template, the filter would be year 9 and the course link would be the same course you created a marksheet for. (the course link isn't strictly necessary but is helpful when adding the class additional student column)

 

Also note, it is not possible to assign supervisors of the Curriculum years in SIMS only the year groups.

Hello Esteban

 

Thanks for giving this a shot but it doesn't seem to have worked; I had made these changes prior to posting but no luck. My template filter is 'Curriculum Year 9', the course link is History, and the HoD is assigned as the HoD for History within the course manager. But the 'Supervisor' column is still blank next to the year group marksheet in the template and it does not show up for him in the Marksheet Entry search.

The problem sounds like you still haven't created a marksheet for the course, you refer to "But the 'Supervisor' column is still blank next to the year group marksheet in the template", you need a course marksheet not a year group one. E.g.

Thank you for pushing me in the right direction. After looking around the Course Manager section I realise I'd been misinterpreting what it was telling me and I've sorted it.
