Hi guys/girls,

Just wondering if anybody can help me out, we set up HAP+ around 3 years ago however i had no involvement in the set up, we had a 3 year SSL cert installed and all was fine. Now the cert has expired we have bought a new one and assigned it to the server and everywhere i can find in Remote Desktop Gateway/Services etc. When i browse to our web address folders.schoolname.county etc the HTTPS bar shows up green and shows the correct certificate etc. We are able to log in internally with no problems at all.

However when connecting from home and running the SIMSLOAD.rdp it shows the certificate is not trusted and is showing details of a completely different certificate and only showing the Server Name.Domain.com with a different expiry date, rather than the correct folders.schoolname.county.sch.uk one. I have recreated the RDP file with the new certificate assigned but its still not working.

Its my understanding that the remote app is using a basic certificate rather than the correct SLL certificate, any ideas?

Cheers :)

The only thing I can think of is the SSL certificate binding for the web server on the HAP ports (Im assuming normal 443 but you never know). If you are using IIS then scroll the site bindings box down, you might have a host header with a different binding.

This isn't HAP+ specifically, as HAP+ is just an ASP.net website.

What you need is the Remote Desktop stuff

1. Go into RD Gateway Manager

2. Right click on the server > properties

3. Change the SSL certificate

4. Browse to https://%domain%/rdweb/

5. Login

6. Download the RDP files and save to HAP+ replacing the existing files
