Promethean projectors

I never cease to be underwhelmed with the image quality of promethean projectors, from the old orange badged Sanyo's through to the PRM35's PRM30's. Even the set up of the image from the menu is overly clunky. I've been replacing them with NEC or SONY short throw projectors you need to make some simple mods to the bracket or get an off the shelf one such as RA Technologies adapted but it's worth it - the difference is like night and day.

Considering they haven't made Sanyo projectors for around 6 years now and they still work albeit a bit dull, you've got to give them a bit of credit! I agree the Menu is clunky, but it's last design was probably around 10 years ago, whereas NEC and Sony still make projectors, you'd expect it to be all nice and fancy.

 

Not having a go, just seems a bit harsh on equipment that is now, legacy
