Hi, We have migrated all of our laptops to Windows 10 with a Windows 2008 R2 domain controller. We use roaming profiles and have come across a strange issue.

Sometimes when a user logs in to a laptop or PC windows 10 says "Welcome" and just stops. It doesn't matter if you wait hours or days the PC remains in this state. The only way to stop the issue is to hard shutdown the PC, login to the server and remove profile.V5 and then power up the machine and remove the local copy of the same profile as administrator.

Obviously this isn't great because the user looses all their personal settings etc

Has anyone experienced this before ?

Thanks

Are you using standard roaming profiles or mandatory or domain default?

If it's a mandatory profile are the permissions set correctly on the share/files and user hive?

Hi, We are using standard roaming profiles it does appear to be a permissions thing but i cant figure out why they could be wrong when the profile folder is created by the user upon first login.
