newpersn Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Strange one here.... Got a Dell R410 and on the LCD i got a error 1. I would normally open open-manage and see what's the matter but this has VmWare installed as its our main vm host for the network. (wont be for long i hope...) Dose anyone have any ideas? Bit scared to reboot and enter bios as i googled it to no luck... (in case its a fault with the server it self. (HD lights are both fine))
SHimmer45 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) if reading the manual correctly just having a 1 lit on the front panel says "no memory modules detected" which if its on and working cant be right, might be a more generic message to say that a DIMM has failed. id put the service tag into dells support site and look at the manual page 23, we have an older 410 which just has the number readout on the front not a full LCD display. u can have openmanage on an ESXI box you need have the omsa agent and then the console on another or use the web interface if it installs in for ESXI Edited September 13, 2016 by SHimmer45

But the code is the same in the R410 Manuel "Failsafe voltage error. Contact support." "Remove AC power to the system for 10 seconds or clear the SEL." https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/880864-dell-r610-front-panel-stuck-on-error-1 R410 Manuel: http://www.manualslib.com/manual/37060/Dell-Poweredge-R410.html?page=23 Good Luck!

Traysee Posted May 4 Posted May 4 (edited) I am having the same issue. I can log into the Idrac, but cannot power on the server. I have replaced the PDU, but still won't power on. In the Idrac, everything shows green. Thankfully I am just using the server for a sandbox and it is not in production anymore. Edited May 4 by Traysee
