We have a tech team that we are wantign to expand. Currently they just support assemblies.

I vaguly remember seeing something about digital leaders schemes in secondary schools. Do many of you do this?

Which scheme as when i google it seem to get a number of different schemes. I also seem to think there was one that worked towards an award for the students or school? Is this right or have i imagined it?

Thanks

Morning,

We started running a similar scheme here but using them to set up for lessons using ICT ie running and fetching tablets & laptops and some very basic troubleshooting. When we set up the scheme towards the end of last term we had quite a few ideas knocking around, though seeing as it's now just me and my increasingly-busy schedule organising them we'll see how many make it past concept!

• Editing/adding to some areas of the intranet ie blog posts for their class and comment on other blogs across the school.

• Reset/change password for other pupils

• Update digital signage

• Support teachers across the school when they teach ICT and use new hardware or software, Trialling new hardware and software.

• Organise competitions e.g. design desktop wallpaper/screensavers.

• Attend events and other schools to share ICT learning – ie primaries, BETT

• Attend after-school training for staff and parents (SLG/O365)

I think the idea of having something like this formalised is great, getting it off the ground is the difficult bit.

Good luck!

  • Thanks 1
