lmrogers Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Hello, The media department where I work want to use Davinci Resolve for editing. However when it runs it only seems to run if the user has got Local Admin rights. Obviously I dont want students to have local admin rights, does anyone know a way around this? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks,
3s-gtech Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 A product like Resolve in a school looks best to me when used in a Studio - a single machine with expensive calibrated screens, GPU horsepower etc. Seems a bit pointless on workstations unless they're amazing spec wise. In that case, an isolated local log in away from the network could be a solution - with the capability to re-image the machine if somebody does decide to stuff it royally.
Meldrew Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 I wonder if the media department also want the Davinci Resolve Advanced Panel. Its only £22,875.
