But the same in IE 11 and the same in other threads where videos are posted.

I get exactly the same issue in all of the threads I have checked so far that contain embedded YouTube videos. It doesn't matter which browser I use (Chrome, Edge etc.).

Yes that was where I first saw the problem this morning, but other embedded videos are affected when viewing via IE 11, Chrome, and Edge.

Ah yeah just tried IE11 broke in there Seems a lot of sites/forums got the same issue though so wonder if YouTube changing stuff again haha

Me too. Not in IE11, Edge won't launch on my machine (must get around to that) and don't have Chrome installed.

I have been using Chrome so long now I had forgotten about things like this. BRB.

 

Edit: Flash is enabled and up to date.

Works fine in my Firefox too.

On Firefox there is usually (well, usually to me) a message that appears on the top of the browser for each website that has a Flash Plugin asking if you want to all Firefox to run the content. You can select to run and remember for the website.

I think you must be able to alter that behaviour, as I only get that if Flash is out of date or I'm using a secure firefox-based browser.

 

Just tried Portable Opera, and the embeds don't work. Bizarrely, Opera Mini on my WM10 is fine (but Edge is having one of it's "don't wanna connect" moments). Got the latter working on my machine and it doesn't recognise the embeds.

@ZeroHour. Is there any chance of switching to YouTube's iframe-based embedded player so that we don't have to have Flash enabled (unless that will be the default on the new Edugeek forum)?
