We have a freshly captured 1607 image with all our apps etc on, on our WDS/MDT server.

When we deploy this to any machine, it goes through the deployment stages (very little changes made to the deployment task for this test) and it fails every single time with the error:

Litetouch deployment failed, Return Code = -2147467259 0x80004005

I'm struggling to find what this is doing, it pretty much drops the image on and then fails. Is MDT 2013 Update 2 even capable of deploying the 1607 update now?

yes it can ive been doing it here all day and in another school last week. Im just deploying the standard wim file with the apps stripped out though. Make sure your adk is up to date and i had to do a complete rebuild of the lite touch wim before it worked last week

I'm using the adk for 1607 and the latest MDT Update 2 and updated the deployment share from scratch - however I've discovered it works if you use the 32 bit lite touch boot image, but always fails with the 64 bit image!?

At least I can work with that - not sure why there is a 32 and 64 bit boot image anyway as its just a bootstrap image anyway.

Hi, yes MDT 2013 update 2 can deploy Windows 10 1607. I have no issue with my deployment.

Is it failing at the beginning or end?

If memory serves me right the error code looks similar and I had an issue where if the computer exists in AD it would fail, deleting it out and trying again it would run fine.

This was a really random error which only happened on our Fuji Siemens PCs and with W7 64bit.

It fails right at the end, but only when using the 64 bit boot image. Now deployed several using the 32 bit version. Bizarre but I'll have a look when I've got more time. Both the boot images were rebuilt (several times!) so they're both the same date.
