£12 - £14 PH PAYE negotiable

My client a very well respected independent school in North London is seeking to appoint an IT Technician. Working under the direction of the Network Manager you will be required to provide first and second line support to users of the school network; assisting them with resolving hardware and software problems as well as ensuring that services and support of associated equipment is undertaken in a professional and effective manner.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES (not exhaustive)

 

· Resolving day to day 1^st and 2nd line queries.

· Log and resolve all tickets on Spiceworks system, ensuring requests are kept up to date.

· Providing general maintenance and repair of the school’s ICT equipment.

· Supporting colleagues with the use of new ICT technologies.

· Assisting the Network Manager in supporting the network infrastructure of the school.

· Installing and testing all new software, including anti-virus software.

· Update content on the schools Xibo digital notice boards.

· Maintain and update all Apple IT equipment such as IPads and IMacs.

· Travel to secondary site to provide additions support 1-2 days per week.

· Support and maintain windows 2010 / 2012 – Vista 7/8 and MS Office.
