Well that's a good question:) I don't have an answer, though but you have got my brain working. When I was in school we used to have Performance management meetings face to face but the finalised agreed targets and achievements were typed up and put into the private staff course on Moodle-but that's hardly "doing performance management on Moodle". I also remember using Mahara for this purpose and it worked very well - but this is about Moodle, not Mahara. I think this is something that will lend itself to the competencies/skills feature which has been added to the latest version of Moodle, Moodle 3.1 I made a demo course to demonstrate it with staff induction, and I reckon you could do something similar with performance management. You'd just need (a) the latest version of Moodle and (b) the time to design and implement the competency framework:)
