Office 365 - Planner

I have been away from my school for 6 weeks and our IT apprentice has been working alone along side our external support.

 

During this time he has told our senior management that they don't need to buy school planners for the start of September as Microsoft has just rolled out 'planner' for office 365. I have had a quick look at this and it looks very much in its earlier stage and in my view not at all ready or appropriate for a school to be using for teachers to be setting all students homework.

 

I just wondered if anyone else was using for teachers to set homework?

Not come across it before myself, but it does look rather basic doesn't it. Have your senior management actually actioned the idea? In my experience, planners are ordered in January for the following September, so may not be in a position to change that quickly.
