Joanne Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 So tempting... if only there weren't only 9 working days left for me!
Fazza Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) Think I might have to take a look at this. Edited July 12, 2016 by Fazza
MrPstv Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Typical, As a MAT our budget is now closed. Why do the good deals only appear at the end of the summer term? Grr
Fazza Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Is 'Classroom management / monitoring' similar to Impero?
Al_NetSupport Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) Is 'Classroom management / monitoring' similar to Impero? Yes, they are similar solutions but also offer a few different features. Fazza Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Yes, they are similar solutions but also offer a few different features Ooh - in that case I think we might need to talk about this offer then!
Joanne Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I've applied for the trial. Going to see if I will use it to its potential. 1

IrritableTech Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 @Al_NetSupport To confirm, if we apply for the trial the pricing is fixed for us past August 31st? I.e. we sign up now, but can use it as a trial in September and order in October? Also can you confirm if the lifetime licence is transferable from machine to machine - so when we replace machines the licence can transfer to the replacement machine.

Hi @IrritableTech, thanks for the questions. Trial - the offer is intended to be for those who sign up now, evaluate over the next few months and look to purchase before 31st August. We are realistic and understand the timeline, getting sign off and start of a new academic year, so i am sure anyone who signs up and runs a bit past the deadline will find us more than amenable. Of course if you fall into that category PM me and i'll ensure we look after you Lifetime Licence - yes absolutely 100% transferable, so as you retire old kit, the licence can be reused on new kit. ( you would just archive it from your DNA Database which in turn frees up a licence from your cumulative count). Hope that helps Al. 2

Al_NetSupport Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I'm conscious from the link to this offer on the edugeek homepage you can't see all of the posts. Hopefully this link will ensure everyone can access all of the questions and answers posted. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/vbcms-comments/172626-article-edugeek-members-netsupport-dna-exclusive-offer.html#post1481320 Al.
Steve21 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) So just to confirm, this is effectively £6 a computer per license Year 1 then £1 thereon? Just had a quote the other week before this deal that I assumed was per year pricing etc or is it normally a one off and then support? Also does this cover upgrades etc within support? Or is this then stuck to that version? If for any reason you don't like it after the 3 months is it a refund etc or isn't the cost taken until the 3 months after? Or is it effectively a free 3 months added on? Also do you need to cover all the machines on-site or can you choose/pick so like we might want to just cover our 6 IT suites rather than all teacher/staff machines etc? *Edit - Also does it include classroom management in that price? As says - "plus optional Classroom Management" as in optional to use, or optional addon? Thanks, Steve Edited July 13, 2016 by Steve21
Tom_NetSupport Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Hi Steve That's correct - £6 would pay for each licence and the first year's maintenance, and then we would charge £1 for maintenance in subsequent years. The licences are perpetual, with the upfront cost of £5 being a one-off. The maintenance element would cover you for software updates. The 3 month period is to evaluate the software, so there is no cost attached to this. You would only have to pay for the full licence. It's up to you how many licences you'd like, but you would need a licence for each PC the software is installed on. Thanks Tom
tj2419 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Argh why was this not available a couple of months back! We signed up to Impero and have had endless problems with reliability and features not working Looks like we've missed out here!
NokiX Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Amazing deal, big shame we don't have the money available for this type of change from Impero but I'm certainly interested to see how people find the trial.
simonw Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I work in two schools, can I use the three month demo in each as separate entities? Many thanks
Tom_NetSupport Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I work in two schools, can I use the three month demo in each as separate entities? Many thanks Hi Simon If you give me a call on 01778 382286, I can go through everything with you. Thanks Tom
SteveM555 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Just got our trial, time to get it up and running 1
AliG Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Does this offer include Netsupport School or at least the features of Netsupport School? I'm just thinking in terms of how it compares with Impero which we use Impero in terms of both a teacher classroom tool and a network management tool. Our Impero expires soon so i might take you up on this trial offer.
IrritableTech Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 The quote we had at this price included net support school. Hope that helps.
Tom_NetSupport Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Hi there. This offer does indeed include NetSupport School. If you PM me your details,I can give you a call in the morning to go through everything.
karldenton Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 If anyone has any questions about NetSupport DNA feel free to PM me. We trialled both Impero and Netsupport and after a great deal from AL, went with Netsupport. It just works ! Support is amazing. 1
