We work in IT, so most things from 2008 are irrelevant!

 

This is false information. What about those DVDs that one department won't let go of, full of Flash resources and downloads from Sparklebox? ;) Without which, entire curriculums would fall apart!

I said "most" not "all".

 

As for the Flash resources in Boardworks, they replaced them when I said we couldn't support Flash any more. There was a brief period of compromise where Science had a standalone Win7 laptop which was used until a suitable alternative resource could be found, but this was on the understanding they had until that laptop died to find new resources.

 

English have a couple of USB DVD drives.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Just wait until people get into retro-networking!

ETA: There are stil a lot of legacy systems out there, and much information from way back is still helpful to many as not much has changed in some sub-systems.

Yup. More than once I've Googled a problem and found the solution on here. Posted years before. By me.

 

I'd be happy to pay myself handsomely for that sort of service.
