garethEds Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Afternoon, We had a new 378Pro board fitted yesterday with a Promethean Short Throw projector. When we turn the projector off, the computer monitor goes off as well. There is no way of turning it back on without turning the projector on. There seems to be a vga splitter in the board - but shouldn't it keep the monitor on even with the projector turned off? What are we missing? Driver update? Gareth

Mills Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Hi @phillyrovers , So basically, the whiteboard has a vga input/output at the side which extends up to the projector (Model: PRM-T45) which has it's own vga input/output like most projectors do. At the moment as Gareth described whenever the projector is turned off the PC fails to display to the monitor; which makes sense due the way everything's linked together in one long chain. PC > Board > Projector > Board > Monitor As this is a new install I would assume that something could be changed in the settings of the projector to allow a pass-through, otherwise a vga splitter on the on the PC's vga output would be required. I can't find a way to set up a pass-through from looking at the projector manual or searching online. i.e (with vga splitter) PC > Splitter > Monitor PC > Splitter > Board > Projector Any ideas? Thanks
phillyrovers Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Hi Mills, The VGA input/ outputs you mention, are these the VGA 1 and 2 inputs located onto the metal stand that the ActivBoard mounts to? A photogrpah of this connection would be useful, so that I am sure we are dealing with Promethean supplied equipment. In regards to the VGA pass through on the PRM-45, you can get this working with the projector off ) To do this: Turn the projector on Press "menu" and navigate to Installation ii Navigate to "Advanced" and click Ok. Find "Low Power Mode" - Turn this OFF Let me know if this works for you.....it certainly worked on ours here ) Thanks 1
