timbo343 Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 I was wondering if anyone knew which manufacturer this backbox belonged to. We have about 4 different types of trunking at our place. Marshall Tufflex, Centaur, Macro and Mills own brand. I usually write on the manufacturer of the backboxes so when and if we need to extend or add backboxes we know where to purchase them from. Unfortunately, this particular bit of trunking was dont waaay before my time and theres no way of identifying this one so i thought i'd ask. I'd be fully grateful if anyone knows, i have feeling its marshall but also think it might be Centaur. Thanks
ultima170387 Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Looks alot like the Centaur stuff we have here. 1
hallb15 Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Doesn't look like the excel or Falcon ones I've used. Have you got a CEF branch near you - you could take it in and ask them. Our local branch are very helpful. That said, I can't see anything on their website that looks exactly like yours.
timbo343 Posted July 6, 2016 Author Posted July 6, 2016 Its a Centaur box, i went to get some yesterday but at £3.42 each they are very expensive!!
timbo343 Posted July 7, 2016 Author Posted July 7, 2016 Is the "CN" marking on it short for Centaur? I think it might be. I did come to that conclusion when i walked into CEF, asked if they have this back box and they said it was centaur. I didn't write CN on the back box though. The back box is that old, the cabling used is Cat5, not 5e. Its come from our main reception which was possibly one of the first areas in school to have a LAN.
