Joanne Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Challenge - try and fix this issue before I get through to ParentMail! I've been on hold for just over 15 mins. SIMS Auto Link - I've set it up but it won't ping or sync. No errors. I've followed these instructions to the tee - https://pmx.parentmail.co.uk/resources/autolink/instructions/installation-instructions.pdf I have log files 2016-06-20 08:12:33.9501 00001009 0001 Generating organisation heartbeat signal for $School 2016-06-20 08:12:34.0601 00001010 0002 Parsing JSON 2016-06-20 08:12:34.0601 00001010 0002 { "authenticated": false, "data": {}, "err": "Public commands will execute if they have been registered on the known public commands white list. This public command is not on that list." } 2016-06-20 08:12:34.0601 00001010 0002 Parsed JSON: ParentMail.SimsAutoLink.Models.Response 2016-06-20 08:12:34.0601 00001009 0001 Could not generate organisation heartbeat signal for $School because 2016-06-20 08:12:34.0601 00001009 0001 Public commands will execute if they have been registered on the known public commands white list. This public command is not on that list. Actually reading through these logs, it looks like something I have to speak to them about! AWW MAN!
localzuk Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Looks like you're not authenticated? Have you got the right School ID in the Config Manager?

mavhc Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Confirm the Install path which by default is C:\Program Files\ParentMail\SIMS AutoLink\ - Please note the application must be saved to this file path I'm sure this program is written by experts!
mavhc Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Never let it be said that our admin staff are ahead of the curve
mavhc Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Oh look, it failed to save, and lost all the terrible config I had to manually enter, what a piece of rubbish
localzuk Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Make sure you have either given your account full permissions to the ParentMail folder and all files below it, or are launching the config tool as administrator.

Yeah, if only the idiots who wrote it bothered to ask for the rights they need. Still, we should totally trust then with all that personal data.
