Old network printers wont delete from clients!

Hi,

 

I've recently put in a "Follow Me" print queue solution so our staff can print their documents at any printer in this follow me group, all is well with that apart from the old shared printers won't remove from their PC's and as you can imagine people are still trying to print to these and obviously they wont work.

 

I've tried removing them using a batch file which is called during logon but its not working. I've even tried going to the clients and doing it manually but once you click delete it does nothing and still shows...

 

Any idea how to sort this? Ive tried Print management, AD, Regitry.

How are you deploying the printers?

They are deployed using a batch file via their share names but the add command has been removed and a remove command has been put in its place. Thanks for the quick reply.

You can use a powershell script like this. Get-WMIObject Win32_Printer | where{$_.Network -eq ‘true’} | foreach{$_.delete()} that will delete any printer.

Thanks for that, it deleted all network printers including the follow me one but im not fussed about that ill add the script to add that in after the powershell script.
