There seems to be quite a lot of "Data Manager"-style duties in that job spec and very little about ICT management barring the iPads/MDM... is it a combined role or is there a separate Data Manager?

It's a combined role, working within the ICT Support team with a focus on data. Management of our data systems is done by our senior assistant head and most of the reporting and analysis systems are in place already. This new role has been created to assist with the administration and development of these when required. The post-holder will also provide general ICT Support and help to manage our 1:1 iPad scheme. This is all in conjunction with 3 other members of the team.
