Hi All,

Great forum.

I have come across a slight problem on WDS.

I have an image on my WDS server which I made by loading all the software on and captured the image. It all works fine and drivers all loads great but I have a new motherboard from Gigabyte which i got this week and the drivers will not load with WDS even though i have added them into WDS. I loaded the drivers using the CD that come with it directing on the machine using an external DVD drive and that works fine but when I have 200 of these in my custom built PC's it will cause a problem.

I have tried using the filter but still no luck. I have only one image for the school.

Any Advice would be great.

Thanks

Do you use MDT??

We normaly set up selection profiles in MDT which query the BIOS for the model. The drivers are added to Out of Box drivers and make sure that Storage and Network drivers are added to the WinPE drivers. The task sequence for Deployment then runs a WMI query and injects the drivers from the selection profile.

HP and Dell seem to best for drivers, if you can get of hold of a Management pack for the hardware you simply extract the drivers and then import them to MDT
