Looking for some guru who knows the product inside out, we have been a user of pcounter for a long time but only use it for logging, however i want to look at implementing a print credit system.

However after looking into it, when i create budget codes / client codes there is no way to add an AD group, is this correct seems incorrect to me.

Oooh it's been a while but it certainly is doable because we did it in our last place. It's part of another section within the management window, if you have active support I'd give them a shout tbh.

This is odd, we certainly mapped AD groups to Pcounter client codes. I'm afraid the method escapes me now as it's a while back... I'm sure somebody else will be able to help

on Pcounter admin browse to your groups, click on to the Client Code Associations tab and then set an association for each group.

This should then add any member of that group to the client code.

If you go to PControl there is a field where you specify which field in AD you pull the data from. Not got PCounter on my laptop to tell you exactly but if your struggling let me know and I can pull off the documentation in the morning.

If I am honest with you PaperCut is much better at doing what you want and is accurate, PCounter doesn't seem to fully and accurately report things!

After posting i started to look at Papercut and was suprised in a good way at the price, so will probably just get that arranged.
