Webcam \ Casting solution

Hi Guys,

 

Looking into solutions for being able to stream classrooms etc to another room for kids who are in external exclusion. Wondering what solutions guys on here use. I know that something like Skype would be the cheapo solution and it's been the way we've done it on a 1-1 basis before but sometimes we might need to stream to 3 or 4 different locations at the same time.

 

Ideally...

 

* Be able to stream sound and video to multiple locations at the same time.

* Multiple streams ongoing at the same time that can be selected from.

 

 

Would be nice...

 

* Optional integration with laptop \ PC to be able to stream what's going on on screen with a mic.

 

Anyone got any experience with this? I'm looking myself but thought I'd put out feelers incase people have done this before and have good solutions.

I've not done this specifically myself but you could look into RTP streaming within VLC using a webcam or a better camera/mic setup with an encoder. I've dabbled with Freeview streams over the network using VLC and RTP and I'm sure you could do something similar. Youtube live streaming? How to Use YouTube to Record a Video of Your Screen - I found this yesterday and haven't had time to investigate the usefulness (if any).

 

Live streaming via MEDIAL | Media Library Software which is what we are going to be doing next year - we use the product now and will be live streaming next year.
