NovaT6, how does it get upgraded?

Office manager came to be this morning saying she cannot load her NovaT Data set. Says it wants version 634 and its running 633.

 

So i look and sure enough her local install of NovaT6 is 6.33 and our remote desktop box has 6.34 and another box i have SIMS installed on is 6.29. How does NovaT6 get updated? I've tried manually copying over the exe with the newer version but still insists its 6.33.

There's be some settings files somewhere; copy the entire SIMS folder across to be sure you get the right ones, overwriting everything.

Run NovaSatelliteSetup.exe from the Setups folder on the affected PC. Assuming the version of NovaSatelliteSetup.exe is the latest then that should install the latest version of Nova to the PC.

If it has not updated automatically it will be because it is a satellite install, ie one completely independent of your SIMS server. To update it, you will need a copy of the latest version of the Nova satellite installer, NovaSatelliteSetup.exe which used to be found in the setups folder on the server. If you are using SOLUS 3 though, this will not have been updated in some time, and you may need to contact your support to get a copy of the files.

You can download the latest version of the NovaSateliteSetup from the capita website. I had to do it before half term so our deputy head could write the timetable.

if its a new install you will need a copy of the MCILICENCE.LIC file (i doubt that i have spelled that correctly)

We have one laptop that the NT6 lady uses and I'm sick of downloading the new version from the website with the zipped password etc.
