Scan for latest driver software

I might be looking for a unicorn but I thought I'd ask....

 

Does anyone know of a utility that will scan for missing/latest drivers for Windows and install them without (and here's the catch) it either scanning but then charging you for the actual drivers, installing a tonne of adware on the PC or doing anything else underhand? Would be even better if a portable app existed!

 

I'm doing all the driver injection for my Windows 10 image at the moment and just thought this might be quicker than searching for all the unknown device drivers on one off laptops etc...

I have found this worked quite well on XP and again on Windows 7 (haven't tried it on Windows 10 yet)

The downsides:

 

It offers the install of other Slimware utilities during the install [watch out for them]

The free version will only install one driver at a time [manually] and then prompt you to reboot the computer [You usually don't need to]

 

The upside:

 

It is usually pretty good at installing the right driver and getting you up and running.

I do it the other way and use Double Driver or Driver Backup on the original machine before reimaging it.

drp.su is pretty good. They have now removed the paid full download option. It's a little on the big side at 11.5GB but I use it regularly.

DriversCloud is another good one. It doesn't do anything annoying like SlimDrivers does and can work offline if required.
