Just a quick thread so that people can find us in the pub (the Heathly Park) tonight as I'm due to set off shortly.

We should be in there from 6pm onward tonight (if not before) and if you've not met us before, just look for the big guy with either an Elite Dangerous or IT Crowd t-shirt and a haggard expression!

If I remember correctly, the car park for the Heathley Park is a pay and display. The food is ok (I guess), the beer is not so good as it's all served extra cold which kind of kills what little bit of flavour there ever was.

 

This is just my experience from my last couple of visits there, it may have changed recently.

But if we are staying in the hotel, it should be free right?

 

Ill be heading down about 2 - 3pm from Yorkshire. I hope the M1 is clear.

Yes, it's free for hotel guests. I've stayed at the Premier Inn a few times and they give you a permit to put on your dashboard.

 

Get off at Jcn 22 and come down the A50 otherwise you'll get snarled up in the Leicester traffic.

Word to the wise, anyone heading up the M1 (i.e. Heading North bound), just be aware there is about 15 miles or so near the end of your journey where the speed is restricted to 50mph due to works going on. This is likely to affect those coming up the M1 tomorrow as well.

Confirmed. Visited my cousin here before arriving at the hotel, and navigation was interesting...

Btw, if you use any of the pelican crossings here, please be aware they are the type which do not make any beeping sound for the visually impaired.

Just checked in after going to the wrong premier inn, who then gave me the wrong postcode and ending up in a housing estate. After getting the correct postcode, google maps sent me the wrong dam way..
