Thinking of dirtying my network with a couple of iMacs for Art. :)

Can someone tell me how the MS works with it, do they need CALS and can does my MS licensing cover them so I can put office on them?

If you have schools agreement then yes they are covered.

If you have normal vol license, purchase in the normal way (except get the mac version of office :p)

Edit: yes cals are needed - if you connect to windows for any services

Don't forget if you do have a schools agreement with MS, then you will need to update it next year to include the Macs when they ask for total number of computers on your network.

Even if you use the Macs without and MS software, if you have a schools agreement you still have to pay MS for the privilege!

Erm, you always have, anything above a 386, even if its running solaris, even ppc machines qualify as you can use office on them. I didn't find a single machine that didn't have to be licensed - it's just everything on site.
