Grey-gear Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 The 7th Generation of Pokémon and in the video below we get to a first look and the box art legendries as well as some on the places in the game, but also the three starting Pokémon. The game is noted to be released on the 18th of November this year (I have seen on the Internet that the EU release date is 23rd of November). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qBHfd2NtJs Anyone else going to buy one of these games and if so which starter would you go for?
AlfaTech Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Anyone else going to buy one of these games and if so which starter would you go for? Erm but of course... I'll probably go for the digital download of Pokemon Sun and have Litten as my (fire) starter. So this generation is going to be based in Hawaii, seems gud! Admittedly I still haven't got around to completing Alpha Sapphire yet (altho I completed the original - in fact I've even still got some original 'mon from that game too). X-D
Grey-gear Posted June 3, 2016 Author Posted June 3, 2016 New update to for the new games coming this year, shows the box art legendries abilities and one of there special moves. Also a picture of the world map, the name of the professor, name of the rival as well as customizing main character.
Grey-gear Posted June 15, 2016 Author Posted June 15, 2016 New battle royal game mode for online play. The video below is from IGN at E3
Joanne Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 OMG that seal tho.... I love pokemon games and it took me ages to get over having a load of new names to learn... dat Johto region tho.
AlfaTech Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 It looks like these Generation 7 games give you a lot more background information during battling about; stat changes, pokemon types, effectiveness of moves against current enemies... saves all my old grey matter trying to remember everything about over 700 'mon. This is looking like a vast improvement over PKMN X/Y, can't wait
Garacesh Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 X and Y were just too easy (likely in contrast to Black & White which were ridiculously unforgiving). I'm hoping they hike the difficulty back up again. Adult or not, I'll definitely be buying this
Grey-gear Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 The link below is to a web site with video of with some new Pokémon Pokèmon Sun and Moon's latest trailer introduces a whole slew of new monsters | Polygon

X-13 Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 I can mock it all I like, but I'm still buying it I want to avoid getting hype... I'm fed up of the meta being the focus, there are too many unobtainable pogemans, time limited events over WiFi are dumb when the eshop exists... But god dammit... I'll probably still end up getting it at some point.
Garacesh Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Oh I'm not fussed about the meta. I don't really think the meta is a big deal. They've made the meta more accessible in recent games but it's in no way mandatory to get swept up in it. I don't bother with competitive battling so it doesn't do a thing for me.
Mewdewgooboofoo Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 So they have just posted an English leak video and it explains the evolution of the minecraft bug, video link if anyone is interested: 1
Grey-gear Posted July 8, 2016 Author Posted July 8, 2016 Another new Pokémon revealed An interesting type this one.

Grey-gear Posted July 19, 2016 Author Posted July 19, 2016 Some more new Pokémon that have been announced, see video below
X-13 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I really wish they'd say what the version differences are... I end up getting the one with legendary I like more, then find out all the Pokémon I like are in the other version...
X-13 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 So, I just read a thing about "hyper training" for level 100 Pokémon... From the sounds of it, it's not EV training (super training in X/Y/OR/AS)... Have we finally got IV training? http://www.vg247.com/2016/07/19/pokemon-sun-and-moon-new-hyper-training-function-six-additional-pokemon-announced/

Have we finally got IV training? Pokemon Sun and Moon: new Hyper Training function, six additional Pokemon announced | VG247 Yeah, I still can't be arsed with it no matter what it is lol. It'll just be another thing for the competitive scene to obsess over, and probably won't affect regular gameplay.

It'll just be another thing for the competitive scene to obsess over, and probably won't affect regular gameplay. Hopefully... Though IIRC some of the post-story stuff leaned heavily towards having almost perfect EV/IV 'mons.
Garacesh Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 I might've pre-ordered Moon last night >.> Normal version, though. Can't be fussed with all this limited edition steelbook carp.
X-13 Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 I might've pre-ordered Moon last night >.> I'm holding off... The bat is cool, but I want to know what the differences are.
AlfaTech Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 I just wish that they would put in 'difficulty levels' to the main series of PKMN. The games are just waay too easy, surely it would be easily enough to do just bump all the levels of encounters by 5-10 levels which would make it much more fun. I've been playing through the PKMN hack Dark Rising on a GBA emulator - you come across 'mon 10-20 levels higher, it makes for a much more challenging/rewarding game IMHO.

I got through pokemon yellow on 3ds and just cba grinding to take on the elite 4 done all the gyms but im probably under levelled for the end bit
Grey-gear Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 More news about the new games, some new Pokémon announced, some old Pokémon as well with a twist. Looks like a new Gym system and some "super Z" moves as well.
