I'm going to be given a computer I need to rebuild but unfortunately Microsoft Office (not sure what version yet but I presume 2003) is installed but the user does not recall where they placed the installation CD.

Is there any way of ripping the files off the hard drive to aid installing onto a new build?

cheers!

If the Windows install is currently working, use something like Magical Jellybean Keyfinder or RockkeyXP to extract their valid Office key and check the exact office version, then install using the legit key + 'other' media. Don't think you can package it back up for a reinstall, although Office 2003 does cache the install files on the HD unless the user explicitly tells it not to - try copying the hidden folder MSOCache from the root of C and see if you can fire setup back off from there.
