Unlinking Contacts from Historical Applications

Doing some housekeeping on duplicate contact codes.

Unfortunately some of the duplicates contact records that I would like to unlink and then delete are linked to historical admission applications which are now in a ready-only state.

 

Any suggestions on how I might unlink the contacts from these applications ?

Is there any pressing reason for keeping your admission applicants in SIMS?

Good question. I would be interested to know how many years institutions typically keep online.

Historical applications are cleared out yearly because we have no reason to keep them and it helps stop contacts/SIMS becoming a mess.

Sounds like I should remove the old applications then. What process do I run to export then remove the history ?

I ended up deleting them one by one, didn't find a faster method last time I looked
