The Samworth Church Academy, rated Good by Ofsted in 2015, is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Mansfield. You will be responsible for the management, operation, maintenance and development of our IT and networking systems including data and voice infrastructure. You will lead a team to deliver a robust, reliable, efficient and effective ICT support service which meets the demands of all school users. Key Responsibilities: • To contribute to the development of the Academy’s ICT Strategy • To manage the design, development and support of the school’s IT service • To provide line management, support and supervision of technical support staff in the network services team • To define appropriate management and maintenance procedures and metrics • To undertake relevant project management and IT change tasks • To act as data guardian for all systems throughout the school • To procure computer equipment and software to a defined budget Skills Required: • Strong technical knowledge of server hardware and software technologies, HP networking, and Microsoft server and desktop environments including Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, Windows Client OS, and Office • Experience in the management and operations of the Local Networks and enterprise server and storage systems • Experience in the provision of high quality support services to a diverse user community preferably in the education sector • At least two years experience of direct staff management/supervision • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant IT related discipline with at least three years post qualification work experience Closing date: Monday 23rd May 2016 at 10am Interviews: Thursday 26th May 2016 Please see the vacancies page on our website www.samworthchurchacademy.co.uk for further information including a full job description and application form.
