1070 will be the key one, most of the power for a good chunk cheaper. Don't forge though once the 1080 and 1070 are in the shops they'll be discounting 980s like no tomorrow.

Plenty of choice, if you wait for a month.

Don't forget that annoyingly NVidia are selling their reference cooler 'founder edition' cards for more than third-party competitors will sell their cards for.

Unless you really need a reference cooler to exhaust the air out of the back of the case (such as in a rightly enclosed microATX build) wait for competitors like ASUS, MSI etc to release their cards. You'll get better cooling for less dosh.

This is probably true, however there's the chance that the other board makers will price their premium coolers with OC'd board higher than the reference model. After all that's what they've always done up until now, however nVidia usually hasn't put itself in the middle of the market with it's ref design. Odds are that even if you are getting it cheaper it's only gonna be £20-£40 or so.

So I have some free cash in the bank this month which makes a nice change and my question is this.

Should I sell me GTX970 and get a 980Ti, or wait 6 months and see what the new range of nVidia cards offers?

I'd normally wait, but i know my 970 still has some decent value and I may not have spare cash in six months.

Advice anybody?

I think you should sell your 970 to me for cheap after throwing you a £13k order and buy the 980ti ;)

Ahh! Another member who's secret identity I now know! :)

How much will you give me for it? Considering that you're paying ICT Direct 13K and not me ;)
