I'm looking to learn from other schools that are Progresso users at primary level. In particular, I'm keen to see how you track and report at EYFS, KS1 and KS2 stages and how that feeds through to reporting. We are an all through-school and we manage Secondary level well, produce PDF reports that we make available via the parental portal. We are looking at replicating something similar at primary level. Anyone able to help?

A fair few have read this, but no replies to date... I'm increasingly believing we are one of very few schools that are using Progresso for primary. Currently I'm not aware of any other Surrey primary school using Progresso - are any other counties out there using it?

Graham - were are an all through academy in Bradford and are just looking at our primary assessment output through Progresso. We have just started tracking our students using Chris Quigley's depth of learning package and in the first instance are looking to import the info from that to give up summative analysis in the MIS. Depth is a beta product at the mo so the functionality is in development but as we stand we could easily report on the info as it is now in Progresso but the tracking and student level visibility we currently do in Depth of Learning as it is built to support the new curriculum we are delivering so its best sat there for now. I think a lot depends on how you are accessing progress etc in the world of life after levels and then look at the best way of incorporating Progresso to support that process. For us, as we adopted the Quigley curriculum their tracking tool was the best place for the entry to sit as it supported the teachers understanding of the new curriculum and the areas and steps within it.

Progresso's reporting is its biggest strength and biggest weakness for me in that it can do pretty much anything but you need the skills and the resource to produce the outputs. The assessment models are flexible enough to handle pretty much any input and then you can build the reports to your needs but in this world beyond levels everyone is pretty much bespoke so you starting from scratch in many ways and I can see that can be difficult for Primaries that dont have the MIS staffing a secondary may have.

Let me know if you want to discuss further and I can PM you my email address.
