SEND/SENCO Accessibility Adjustments

Hello,

I've been asked by the head of SEN to change a students cursor so that it is enlarged when they are using the network. IIRC I used to have a bit of software that did this (as we lock down control panel/mouse config etc.). The student would have to open the software initially, but then this would make the cursor bigger/change colour.

 

If anyone can assist with the name of the software I'm thinking of, or how you combat this, that would be great.

Similar, but not quite this - just tested and it doesn't seem to work properly either (mind I am on Win 10) just gives an error sound whenever you click!

how about doing it with group policy preferences, i have used this for some other settings, not cursor ones. just googled it and found this that may be of some use.

Could I do this, then add the students to a group (NOT OU) called SEN Students and use Item Level Targeting on the GPO so it only applies to them?

i just have a couple of security groups set up in ad for the couple that i use like this, drop the kids into the right group, apply the policy to the group and you will be away.

 

best way would be to have a play with a test user in the group, shouldnt take much setting up.
