robsonma Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Hi We currentley use Sims .net and we have just moved from BT lancashire to Pennine Education Ltd in Oldham We Called them last week to update Sims for us and I thjought they would updrade us to SOLUS3, But when I looked they have just updated our Sims to 7.168 and no Sign of SOLUS3? Anyone else have the same?

It's like owning a car, employing a mechanic then signing up to the AA for jobs the mechanic can't sort out. 1. Most companies are likely to be made up of ex Local Authority teams/people. They have knowledge of how the schools work in their area and understand the schools requirements. 2. These companies provide much more than the enhanced support offering from Capita and probably cheaper (given that Capita charge over £1000 for a days consultancy). We also tend to provide remote assistance straight away where as with Capita you have to go a long way before they even offer to do a remote session. 3. The companies tend to have a better track record of supporting their schools and much more expertise. 4. Most of the companies I am sure are made up of highly experienced members of staff who have been in education for many years. 5. Some companies provide other services, such as hosting, technical services, LGFL ect.. and SIMS gets bundled in. 2
