Sigh... World of Warcraft... anyone play?

Me and my "friend" have recently started playing WoW. I'm a long time player, she's a complete beginner basically. We're levelling with Recruit a Friend.

 

If anyone is on the Alliance on EU servers, my BID is Haith#2249. We're only level 20ish at the mo, but with RAF and my elitism I expect we'll be 90 in a week or so. (Playing casually)

starting playing with my girlfriend as well with recruit a friend, only got up to about 37 atm, but we can't play much becasue she has Uni.

i'll throw you an add if i'm on battle.net at some point, can't remember the number on the end of mine lol

 

edit - also leveling on this game is a complete joke now... i can just prot pala stick all my heirlooms on and smash dungeons on my own? i mean wut...

Yeah, I'm a rogue and so far I can 1shot anything... even without enchants (started on a new server and had to delete one of my level 100's 'cause I had no more character slots)

 

My only fear.. she's never PvP'd and I've never been below 2.4k rated... I fear for her... She's a RestoDruid. If we catch you up we could definitely power some dungeons.

I think over all of my accounts I have almost 30 rogues now...

 

Plus at least 1 100 of each Class.

I tried it again maybe a year or two ago and it seemed completely dead, nothing in the auction house and no groups.

Gotta pick the right servers. I used to play on Azuremyst EU and there were maybe 5 people in SW.

 

On Outland even Westfall had people fighting for quest mobs.

I'm on a break until Legion hits. I have a smattering of 90s on alliance (my guild broke up during Warlords). I re-rolled horde side on Stormscale and I'm in the Reddit guild.

I played just before the latest expansion, got a character (I don't remember what class..) to high level (L90, I think?). Got bored. Unsubbed.

 

Shame, really, I'd love to play a decent MMO again, I've had some great fun with them in the past, the most fun I've ever had was with Aion where I met a bunch of guys I'm still casually in touch with now.

If you're Alliance Gara, you should try it again with friends. Honestly it's very easy to burn out if you don't have someone to chill around with.

 

As a PvPer it's typically a lonely life with very few friends, if any... Since PvPers typically move along with the "Best". But if you have a friend you can go doing random stuff and hunting pretty outfits and achievements with... it's a little more tolerable

I was with friends. I was still bored It's not like it was awful, it wasn't worth the money I was dropping on it.

 

Plus the graphics bug me I didn't build my machine to play a game that hasn't updated it's graphical quality in over a decade. (He says, after mentioning the PC port of FF8 in another thread...)

 

Couldn't tell you if I was Alliance or Horde. No idea. If there's a way to check without resubbing, remind me to later tonight and I will.

If you know what you called your character and what server, then you can use the WoW Armoury EU and type in the name... then it'll present you with all the servers that have characters of that name..

Turns out you can just login and view them. (Although logging into the Battle.NET client made me notice you can get a free trial of Diablo 3, so sod it, why not?)

Handy, if a little unclear about the flagging function. Had to search a good few times before it finally gave me any results at all.

 

GW2 is one of the games it spit out, which a friend of mine plays. Amusingly it also spat out Aion, which to this date I always proclaim as the most fun I've had in an MMO.. Shame it's basically dead now Though GW2 was made by the same guys, so, you never know... Then again NCSOFT also were behind WildStar, which was a massive flop, and Blade&Soul looked good, but is apparently flooded with hackers, so I won't exactly put the company on a pedestal.

 

Edit: So, Guild Wars 2 isn't too shabby at all. Much better than WoW

I gave it up now over two years ago and still miss the game, started out as Naxxramas landed pre-TBC as Alliance Paladin on Outland and finished up Horde on a few realms (can't even remember which ones now its been so long), I would say it was an unhealthy addiction for me at my worst and its evident in the fact I still miss playing the game.

 

 

 

The movie looks awesome though to be fair, cant wait for that

Still playing, working on 100 number 5 at the minute, Alliance on Dragonblight EU.

 

Eventually I'll get around to gearing my main properly, but for now, he'll just be "the little rouge that could maybe, possibly, if he put a bit more effort in"

Reached level 60 yesterday.. finally into decent content. Just waiting for level 100 to come so I can start PvPing nonstop... I need to finish getting my "Of the Alliance" title on this account

Finally got 100... The queue times on Outland-EU are ridiculously bad for BGs... did all of about 5 yesterday in like 4 hours. Sad times.

 

Once I'm geared though.... oh boy...

Times aren't too bad for us, but we're a medium pop server, so we don't have everyone rushing to do everything.

 

Never really bothered with PvP myself, I'll take on the odd world fight, but not fussed about BGs/Arenas, strange really seeing as my entire guild seems to be PvP focused now.

I pretty much just level, grab odd achievements and try to make a little money to get some of the pretty mounts. Keeps me amused

 

I do the odd 5 man / mythic / LFR, but never really bothered with actual raiding.

I think at the minute my new character has a little money.. just over 120k now. I did have more but I bought the lady a Jade Panther, and gave her 10k starting cash.

 

Money comes so easily in WoW with the right addons.

Wouldn't even say it's down to addons, we get that many dailies now, money just rolls in. Add to that soloing all the HC 25 man Cata raid content and selling the epics, you end up with around 7k from a run. Not too bad from 15/20 minutes a raid. Takes maybe 2 hours a week, and you get the odd transmog piece and mount too

Your server's economy must be ridiculous then! Level 20 with RAF took me maybe, 2 and a half hours? I can't farm enough to flip that, what the hell were you selling!? D:
