Hello,

We've been using MDT here for about a year or so now without any problems, until now.

We have MDT setup to autologin to the local Administrator account, and build the PC/laptop. This has been working fine, but since just before Christmas autologin has stopped working properly.

The machine reboots, gets to Ctrl+Alt+Delte and sits there, but if we manually log back in as the local Administrator, the build continues, sometimes till the end, sometimes until the next reboot.

There doesn't seem to be a rise or reason to this, as it occurs in different places during build, or sometime it works 100%.

At first I thought this was a problem with wireless as it seemed to only be affecting laptops, but it's now doing it to PC's as well.

I've set the admin password in the Task Sequence Unattend.xml file, and I have also specified the password in the MDT Rules section after a Google search.

Does anybody have any ideas on what could be causing this, or even where to look in error logs/MDT logs to help narrow this problem down?

Thank you!

Are you renaming the local admin account from administrator during the process? I've noticed this issue randomly happening when the policy is applied in the build process. Edited by DJ-1701

No, we don't rename the local admin account, we leave it as administrator. Thanks.
