zag Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) How does everyone create a diagram map their servers? I'm looking to create an A4 sheet with all my virtual infrastructure. I can obviously do this with paint, just wondering if there is a better way? Edited April 13, 2016 by zag
pantscat Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 +1 for Visio - definitely the best tool for the job.
rogerdnixon Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Lucidcharts (similar to Visio - but has collaboration like Google Docs and free for schools) for server stuff. Google Drawings for network/switches - all hyperlinked together. 1
DavR Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Lucidchart is great, I did my network diagram in that. I did run into trouble though, the free version restricts how many items you can have in your drawing, I think it was 100 items. As a result, my network diagram is over two sheets!
rogerdnixon Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 You can get Lucidcharts for Education for free - https://www.lucidchart.com/pages/usecase/education just ask for the number of licences you want.
zag Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 10-strike network diagram Awesome, thats the one i've been looking for! It even searches your network for servers too, very nice! Thanks.
