Only Users in the 'Users' folder in AD can log in

Hello everyone.

 

First post so please be gentle.

 

We've been testing HAP+ and got a good part of it working at this stage but I've hit a snag whereby I can only get users that are in the default 'Users' directory in AD to log on. If I attempt any other user then I get the message :

 

"Either your Username or Password was Incorrect or you do not have permission to access this site." I've tried various accounts including my own which has full admin rights to no avail.

I've noticed that when I enter an administrator account username and password to set up the groups on the Active Directory page I can't get it to find the required OU automatically so I enter it myself. I have even used the full path as follows.

LDAP://OU=PUPILS,OU=LRGS_USERS,DC=test,DC=school,DC=uk

 

A Green tick does appear next to the 'Base Settings' after about 5 seconds title however when I click on SAVE and then return to that Active Directory page there is a red cross next to 'Base Settings:" and no password.

 

I have looked in the hapconfig.xml file and it looks like it has encrypted the password for the administrator account that I am using.

 

Hope someone can shed some light on this for me.
