pallen Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I have recently Installed Sibeluis 5 and am running F-secure on the client machines. When I try to run the software, I get a warning that the following virus is present - Win32.kme. I am guessing that this is a false positive as the disk is clean and when I delete the sibelius exe file (where the virus is found) and reinstall I get the same warning message. I was wondering if any of you have seen this problem in the past? Virus definitions are up to date, but thought maybe our version may need updating? Any ideas?
Gerry Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Have you read this: http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/bagif.shtml
pallen Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Yes, I have read that article and not found any other instances of a virus on the computer. The only other time I have had something similar was with a game exe file which was recognised as a virus. This was quickly updated with AV updates though. Wondered if anyone else had experienced it.
john Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Sophos hasnt said anything about Sib 5, have you contacted Sibelius Tech Support about it?
