MkII Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) Doesn't say if this is a junior role to some senior person - otherwise in this case I really do think the pay is too little to fulfil a serious support role to maintain that system. Unless the school are extremely lucky and happen across a suitably skilled person willing to work for peanuts. What do others think? (+ Is there a small firearms allowance? ) Edited January 30, 2008 by MkII
beeswax Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I have to agree with you here Mark. People are asking for all these skills at a relatively junior level yet don't seem to realize how much work most of us would have to put in to reach this standard. *EDIT* that "etc"worries me
russdev Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 The fact it says Any informal contact can be made with the Systems Manager regarding the post by e-mail [email protected] Would think it is a junior role in which case pay is good for the area. Russ
strawberry Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 (+ Is there a small firearms allowance? ) And does the sick pay policy cover being shot?
pallen Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The post says "Experience desired of the following:" It is not essential that the applicant have this knowledge, but I would be suprised if someone had it all and was applying. Unless of course the pay was negotiable?
acrowter Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 This role is just what I have been looking for in Nottingham. But the money is very poor even for a term time only position.
mrforgetful Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Plus I'm guessing it's Pro Rata? With the holidays off you're looking at what, £11-12K?
acrowter Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 More than likely. Which is a shame. Schools are not gonna get the quality they need with wages like this.
